Xtina Arrested!!
Christina Aguilera was patently "Not [Her]self [Last] Night" when she was arrested in West Hollywood along with her boyfriend Matthew Rutler. She was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of public intoxication, while Rutler was charged with driving under the influence. Doll, we know sometimes "What A Girl Wants" is a drink or three, but we're bummed to hear that Christina's craving has spiraled a bit out of control.
Oh, Christina! We've OF COURSE seen pop stars have a rough go of it in the past. Everyone messes up. But we were hoping you'd simply just skipped OVER all the teen pop star requisite crazypants meltdown stuff. Indeed, it's been a rough 2011 for you. There was the fall at the Grammys. The sudden anthem amnesia at the Superbowl. But, lady! Not to get all judgey-pants, but you're someone's MOM. You should be spending $250 on something laypeople would never spend $250 on, like a Swarovski-crystal-studded Luna Bar or something -- not BAIL.
We're sad to hear about Christina's recent behavior and we wish her well. She's so insanely talented. Those pipes canNOT be behind bars -- no matter how dirrty the actions of their owner. Here's to hoping Christina learned from this latest debacle and that it made her that much stronger. Made her work a little bit HARDER. Made her that much wiser -- so that she gets some help and can return to resuming her role as the beautiful songbird we all know and love.
